Hey, New Girl

a 20-something year old Latina: New graduate + New Nurse + New Chicagoan + New Bride = many adventures

71 days

Just graduated, and life feels like a dream. I’m floating through trying to catch everything I can, rushing around studying, finding a job, packing, latching on to family  and friends, missing my fiancee while he’s working in Chicago…It hasn’t been a week yet and I’m already ready for the craziness to end. Yet, I’m not. Change is hard; I’m just doing my best to maneuver around whatever this summer throws my way.

Wisdom

I don’t remember his exact quote, or I would quote him. But here is some wisdom I gleaned from hearing Frank Abagnale speak:

Many people say life is short. Life is not short, if you’re dealt a good hand. Many of us will live beyond our 80s. Remember that. Life can be long. And you carry the mistakes you make with you your whole life. The past can hurt—it will keep you up at night. It can hurt others—your mistakes, often enough, become their sorrows to share. Your actions have consequences. Remember that. Life can be terribly long.

In all the world, there is no heart for me like yours. In all the world, there is no love for you like mine
